Produced by the historic Adega Cooperativa Regional de Monção, this 100% Alvarinho Vinho Verde captures the heart of northern Portugal’s premier Alvarinho region.

The grapes are gently whole-bunch pressed, fermented in stainless steel, and sometimes even cold-stabilized in cans for modern convenience .

In the glass, it displays a bright citrus hue. The nose offers fruity aromas of peach, apricot, tropical fruits, complemented by floral tones like violet and orange blossom.

On the palate, the wine is harmonious and elegant, combining vibrantly fresh acidity with a slightly effervescent mouthfeel. Flavors of stone fruits and citrus shine through, with a clean, mineral finish.

At around 12% ABV, it’s light yet expressive. Adega de Monção Alvarinho pairs beautifully with shellfish, grilled fish, white meats, and seafood dishes. It’s versatile, accessible, and a signature bottle for introducing people to the terroir of Monção & Melgaço.
