The Azeite de Moura DOP is an extra virgin olive oil with a protected designation of origin (DOP), produced in the Moura region of Alentejo, Portugal. It is made from the olive varieties Galega, Verdeal, and Cordovil, with Verdeal olives making up about 15–20%, Cordovil olives 35–40%, and Galega olives the remaining portion. The oil has a yellowish-green color and is characterized by a fruity, bitter, and spicy aroma, which is especially pronounced in the first few months after pressing.

The olives for the Azeite de Moura DOP are washed, cleaned, and milled within 24 hours of harvesting, using a maximum temperature of 30°C during pressing. The oil has a long history, dating back to Roman times, when it was already known for its high quality.

The Azeite de Moura DOP has received several international awards, including the OLIVINUS Gold Medal in 2023, as well as the Prestigio Oro in 2019 and 2022. It is sold in glass bottles and should be stored in a cool, light-protected place to preserve its quality.
