Defesa Branco – Vinho Branco Regional Alentejano is a characterful white wine from the renowned Alentejo region in southern Portugal, produced by Herdade do Esporão, one of the country’s leading wineries. It is crafted from a carefully selected blend of native grape varieties such as Antão Vaz, Arinto, and Roupeiro, grown in prime vineyard sites of the estate.
On the nose, Defesa Branco reveals intense aromas of citrus fruits, especially lime, along with tropical notes of mango and white peach. Vinification begins with gentle pressing of hand-harvested grapes, followed by temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks at 16 °C. The wine then matures for 12 months on fine lees with regular bâtonnage, enhancing its complexity and texture.
