The Santa Vitória Seleção Branco is a fresh and aromatic white wine from the renowned Alentejo wine region in southern Portugal. It is produced by Casa de Santa Vitória, a winery known for its high-quality wines and olive oils.
This wine is made from the grape varieties Arinto and Verdelho. The grapes are carefully selected and processed using the “bica aberta” method, where the must is fermented without skin contact. The alcoholic fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks at 12–14°C over a period of three weeks to preserve the wine’s freshness and fruity aromas.
On the nose, the Santa Vitória Seleção Branco impresses with intense notes of tropical fruits and citrus. On the palate, it is fresh and vibrant, with a natural acidity that gives the wine expression and persistence. A good body and a long-lasting finish round off the tasting experience harmoniously.
The Santa Vitória Seleção Branco pairs excellently with cold salads, seafood, fish dishes, and sushi. The recommended serving temperature is between 8°C and 10°C.
With an alcohol content of 13% vol., this wine can be enjoyed immediately or within about three years to best preserve its freshness. It is an excellent example of the high quality of white wines from the Alentejo region and offers an authentic taste experience from southern Portugal.
