The Contacto Alvarinho Vinho Verde DOC is a high-quality, single-varietal white wine from the renowned Vinho Verde region in the northwest of Portugal, specifically from the Monção e Melgaço subregion. Produced by Anselmo Mendes in collaboration with Symington Family Estates, it is distinguished by its freshness, minerality, and complexity.
Made exclusively from the Alvarinho grape—celebrated for its aromatic intensity and freshness—the grapes are sourced from selected granite-rich soils near the Minho River. Following manual harvest, fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, with the wine spending around three months on fine lees to enhance its structure and complexity.
On the nose, Contacto Alvarinho reveals a floral bouquet with aromas of jasmine and bitter orange. On the palate, it is fresh and vibrant, with lively acidity and pronounced minerality, giving it an elegant and complex character. The finish is long and harmonious.
