The Tordo Alvarinho Vinho Verde DOC is a single-variety white wine from the historic Vinho Verde wine region in northern Portugal, produced by Carneiro Family Wines. It is made exclusively from the Alvarinho grape, which is known for its aromatic intensity and freshness. On the nose, the Tordo Alvarinho reveals a youthful, vibrant bouquet with notes of grapefruit and pineapple. On the palate, it is well-balanced, fresh, and full-bodied, with a fine acidity structure and medium intensity.
The grapes are hand-harvested, carefully destemmed, and pressed before the must is fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks—without the use of oak or malolactic fermentation. This ensures that the fresh, fruit-forward character of the Alvarinho is fully preserved. The wine pairs wonderfully with pasta, rice dishes, seafood, grilled fish, or white meats. Served at 8–10°C, it reveals its full aromatic potential—an elegant and typical representative of the Vinho Verde region.
